We were watching Dr. Eckman’s DVD last night about the concept of “faithless works” and “effective faith”.  The light came on when he gave this illustration…walking through an unfamiliar room in the dark is bound to be unsuccessful. Our works are also unsuccessful when done in the dark…faith plus salvation in Christ turns the light on in this unfamiliar room. Only then can we navigate “good works” successfully- in accordance with His effective plan.- Teresa

Psalm 145: 17-19 (ESV)

17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways

    and kind in all his works.

18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,

    to all who call on him in truth.

19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;

    he also hears their cry and saves them.
