My granddaughters and I explored this bird’s nest yesterday. Each of us captured an image, depicting what we thought.
After reading this Biblical passage, I was reminded that God gives us a way out from fear.
When I look at our oldest granddaughter’s photo, I “see” that the baby birds were not afraid to fly when it was time. The mama bird was not afraid to have the babies. The father bird was not afraid of the squirrel who frequently tried to steal bird eggs from the nearby trees.
When we are yoked together with our Lord and Savior, we too can be freed from fear. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV)
[28] Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Do not remain captive to fear, instead be free to keep in step with God’s purposes. His work molds us and disciplines us with the ultimate goal of strength and humility.
Giants in the faith are the ones who quietly endured, pulling alongside the Savior, for the good of many. #restinHiswork
You may not see their name in lights or even know their names. Our Heavenly Father knows them. They were/are the ones who escaped from the snare of fear, moving forward confidently in His ultimate work on the cross. -Teresa #Resurrection
Jeremiah 30:8-10 (ESV)*
8 “And it shall come to pass in that day, declares the Lord of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and I will burst your bonds, and foreigners shall no more make a servant of him.[a] 9 But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
10 “Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the Lord,
nor be dismayed, O Israel;
for behold, I will save you from far away,
and your offspring from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease,
and none shall make him afraid.

I know how easy it is to let fear keep us from moving forward, and I’m still learning to trust Jesus with the things that weigh heavy on my heart.
Thank you for reminding us that we don’t have to carry those burdens alone. 🙏

That is so comforting- we are not alone. Sometimes it feels like a big, beautiful disaster but God shows up just in time keeping us on the right course. Thanks for your comment. 🙌
